Our approach
From a leaking valve to a full bathroom renovation, we work to a plan that fits around your routine. The survey is thorough, the quote is clear, and the job is done with the least disruption possible.
What we don't do
About us
Wglo Advisory Practice was founded by two engineers who spent years working for national firms, where the pressure to finish quickly often meant cutting corners. We set up our own practice to do the job properly: survey first, quote fairly, and leave the site tidier than we found it. That principle still drives how we run every project, big or small.
Most of our work comes from word of mouth, which is why we never rush a job to fit the next one in. When we take on a project, we ring-fence the time it needs, and the engineer who carries out the survey is the one who returns to do the work. That continuity means we know the quirks of the building and the client's expectations before we start.
We specialise in heating upgrades and bathroom renovations, but we also handle the day-to-day breakdowns that nobody plans for: a leaking cylinder, a blocked waste, a radiator that will not warm up. Our vans carry a wide range of parts, so most repairs are completed in a single visit, and we always call ahead with a two-hour window.
The team is small, and every engineer is time-served, with their own tools and van. We are fully insured for the work we carry out, and we provide written warranties for installations. On renovation projects, we work alongside your architect or kitchen designer to make sure the plumbing integrates with the overall plan, and we keep the dust sheets down and the radio off unless you ask for it on.
We live and work in the same area, so we understand the age of the housing stock and the quirks of the local water supply. We know which buildings have lead pipes and which have shared stacks, and we bring that knowledge to every survey. The goal is simple: a heating and plumbing system that works without drama, and a client who would recommend us to a neighbour.
